Wallace Group is honored to have been a part of the conservation of the Touchet River. Blue Mountain Land Trust in partnership with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) has placed 438 acres along the Touchet River into a permanent protection status. Wallace Group assisted in performing the environmental due diligence, reporting and remediation, along a stretch of the river. This conservation project focuses on reversing manmade river channelization in order to reintroduce the natural floodplain for the benefit of native wildlife.
We are thrilled this project has already had success and look forward to seeing the native species thrive in this area.
